What a wonderful capture, Christine. He looks so calm and collected. That's really special since they are usually so spooked by humans. When I shoot one they are usually ditching into the bushes in the Rockies. Just BLUR shots.

Good Evening Ann, Stefania, Tiia, Laura, Dominick, Sam, David, Kim, Jean and Christine...

I am usually on BP throughtout the day and thanking each of you individually, BUT last night I stayed up to 3am completing three passports to perfection... What a pain- hoping I would not make ANY mistakes! If I did, I had my Guarantor sign six copies(two sets each for my fam, just incase!)... Well, #8011523

Christine Lobsinger level-classic October 05, 2009

Finally, tired and all, I get them done, leaving the paperwork on the table (thinking I took all our ID's and put them elsewhere)... 7am comes, and I am up getting my boy off to school... I decide to play with our new pet... I place a cover over the table and leave the documents in a pile in the corner and place Bubbles cage in the middle of the table, let her run around with some hiding areas... not thinking about ID's and all... and she MUST OF GOT hold of my husbands Birth Cert. and ATE IT...
I searched ALL day till now - even the garage.... ON my NIGHT OFF of work... great eh?

SO, thank you very much for popping in and leaving your warm wonderful comments here.. I appreciate everyone of you!
Can you picture me going to the passport office tomorrow, and explaining the situation..I think my rat ate it..

Chris, that's terrible! I almost thought you were joking but clearly you are not. I feel so bad for you. Does your husband have some other ID to use? Hope you don't have to go through too much hassle.

Yes I hope they will take the card I found when he was born, it is a Cert. of Canadian Citizenship, plus, with the new drivers' lic... here, I am hoping this is good too... and with his health card...

Thanks Jean, if not, we'll have to re-send away for another B Cert...at least I know I wrote down all the numbers on the passport for him... we have the particulars, lol.. but no photocopy, which they DO NOT accept anyway...

PS it is kind of funny, my rat ate it...
I searched EVERYWHERE... and I found my son's and my B Cert. in a baggie put aside, BUT I guess I forgot to put my hubby's into the baggie...OH Well, I ranted and raved enough, what can I do,
I just think... it is an ACT OF NATURE... RATS EAT EVERYTHING - that is what they do..if allowed, lol!!! #8011548

Laura E. Swan level-classic October 05, 2009

Could he have eaten it CLEAN to the last little shred? Don't they leave a tiny little mess so you can see what they ate?

I bet it is in the house somewhere. Or still in safety deposit or somewhere unexpected??? GULP!

This was heart stopping...Your passport stuff..KEEP US POSTED!!!

OKAY, I wake up today - just now, at 7am... after crying/worrying all night to about 3am... I get up, go to the dining room table and see my husband's birth cert. in a baggie with his other ID...
I call him at work and ask him how on EARTH did he find it, ready to jump down his throat, thinking he had took it off the table yesterday morning and put it elsewhere... BUT since we prayed all night long (the three of us)... to St. Anthony.. he is our Saint that helps us find things we mis-place...my hubby tells me "I guess it pays off to pray".... OH THANK YOU ST. ANTHONY.
My Hubby found it in the dining room underneath a big play box for Bubbles...
We looked in the box and around the box BUT NOT UNDERNEATH IT....
OMG...

Wow! What an ordeal! I'm glad everything turned out well. I've never had anything like that happen, except for just small stuff, like glasses, a credit card, etc. Sorry to hear you were so stressed out over it : ) #8013872

Christine, Beautiful photo! How'd you get so close?

So sorry to hear about your birth certificate troubles. But at least you don't have to send away for a new one. The only thing like that that I've lost is one of the small dimaonds out of my wedding ring. Turned the place upside down looking for it . . . never did find it. #8013998

Jean Lechleiter October 06, 2009

All's well that ends well!!! So glad that you have survived this dilemma! Soon you'll be able to look back and laugh about it.Hope you all have a great cruise. #8014817
