Donna,
What a beautiful image! What a magnificant bird! How can anyone look at this and conclude that this is the result of random chance -- No Way! Keep up the great shooting!
God Bless,

Hi Greg, Yes you are absolutly correct. I lured him out of his roost with food and was pre-prepared for a display of feathers with a tripod mounted camera.

These birds are very difficult to shoot only because of their constant movement of fluffing and shaking. To get a sharp shot it has to be done at the right moment. I tried quite a few different combinations of exposure. My best shot of all was ruined by the female bird who decided she would walk in front of the camera just as the shutter was pressed. She walked around him in circles and teased him the entire time. I guess that's what they do.
Thanks for the comment. I appreciate it very much. #67749

I love your picture Donna. Did your change the colors of the feathers in your photoshop from green & blue to red & yellow?
Diana Bonewell #67871

Donna R. Moratelli May 26, 2019

Hi Murry, Thank you so much for the very kind comments. I really appreciate it.

Hi Diana, Thank you very much also. In regard to the color, No,< This is the coloring of every single peacock image in my RAW files. I was pleasantly suprised when he displayed his feathers. The only thing that I did was saturate the natural color by ten percent in photoshop. I over exposed the image by one half stop when I shot it to bring out the color in the origional picture too because he was standing at the edge of a barn in the shade.. #67875

Dolores Neilson May 26, 2019
