Hi Barbara. This is very beautiful; I would love to be sitting there. But! It's driving me crazy. Following my own advice and looking into, rather than just at an image I am not sure what I am seeing here. Is this either two combined images or at the very least a moon Photoshopped in? Why I ask this is that the moonbeam on the water doesn't point directly st the moon; it is slightly off to one side which in real life I don't think it does. (Of course you will just know, tonight I will be across the meadow to my neighbor's lake to see if I'm right. last night it was cloudy so I couldn't check it out). Also, I am curious as to why the jetty is so brightly lit as the side we are looking at is not facing the moon. OK Barbara, I shall eat crow when you tell me that you haven't manipulated this, but I'm a big boy so I will just shut myself in the closet and cry very quietly.

Pete, you make me laugh!!!
This image was taken for my BP class: Inspiring Nature Photography. I was actually taking pictures of the sunset and happened to turn back and saw this beautiful sight! I have to say that this image is not manipulated! It's possible that I made minor adjustments, if I made any at all. I have 18 shots of this, with different exposures. But this is only one image and the moon was not added... Please don't shut yourself in the closet ;) and no need to make a crow suffer ;) I cannot explain why the moon beam is off. I do know, it took my breath away! This is a twilight shot! And the moon WAS bright!!! I'll have to look at my other shots.

Again, you make me laugh! You have a wonderful sense of humor...thank you!
I do have to say, so you don't feel so bad, looking back at the originals, that this image was possibly lightened slightly in order to see the rocks on the shore! I supposed it's a compliment to have people think that my images are manipulated (someone else thought my church picture was an HDR...) I love shooting at twilight. I've learned to stay a bit longer after sunset (as I state on my website and the saying on my business card...one should not be in such a hurry and miss the small wonders and blessings) be patient and wait and see what the possibilities could be! ;)

It was a beautiful sight! I have learned when shooting sunsets to always wait awhile after it sets to leave. This was the reward for that wait!

I love both images. After reading Pete's first comment I went back and lined it up with my hand, I came to the conclusion that it is weird but a natural image. :) Then I read futher and found out I was right! Yippee
I'm glad Pete's eating humble pie instead of crow cassorele!
I think you have wonderful blue tones in this image and composition of the photo is appealing. Same goes with the sunset image (minus the blue) You could have entered this in I think Pete's silhouette class. :)

I am very happy that I make you ladies laugh though it does remind me of why I never did graduate from an engineering college in London. I had such a good time being a a fun guy in class that my sponsoring company withdrew me and made me work for a living. I didn't as much make it on to the bell-curve with my grades but rather swung happily beneath it like a clapper. that's the dangly thing.
