WOWOWOWOOWOWOOW!!!!
Sister Laura..
You did an amazing 'tag along shot' of the bride/groom!!!
Look at her WHITE dress, so beautiful and crisp/detailed my friend.. You did it, it is usually so hard to photograph white besides black (his suit)!
I really think you should photograph many more weddings sis, honestly, this is very lovely! The colours/lighting is 'SPOT ON'...

Sincerely,
Smiley CHRIS #1183596

Thank You S. Christine and B. Rolan! SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU HERE and thank you so much for coming by to comment!!! :) It means a lot to me!!!

Well, Christine, I had some great advice and help. I loved shooting all around for the day and no one seemed to mind. It was good experience for me.

I admire the pros...There is a lot more to it than meets the eye.

Nadya Johnson September 22, 2009

Well, I said it before and I'll say it again - this is a very lovely capture of this beautiful blushing bride! I used to do weddings when I worked in video. And SO MUCH is the expression you catch (or, fail to catch!) You did a terrific job with this! Also, the light glowing on her hair and on her dress -- "priceless!" Great job, Laura! #7972976

You have captured both the bride and groom beautifully Laura, a moment they will treasure forever, that's for sure and I love it because it's not one of those typical posed wedding shots. Lovely work Laura. #7973008

Wow, leaving negative comments and you know what Sis, they don't come back to see the results.

Somebody left a comment on one of my images so I rectified it... and BOTH pictures got an EP lol. The so called distraction didn't bother the judge.

I wished I have seen the original so I would know what you did to improve the image.

Beautiful real like capture my friend of the glowing couple! ~Pat

Beautiful candid shot, Laura! Love the happy look on the bride and groom's faces! She really does look like Cinderella! Sounds like a beautiful wedding! I didn't see the original pic either so I have nothing to compare it to ... but I think this one is fantastic! Great work, Sis! :) #7973629

You know what my friend I don't remember what I said, that is why I don't lie, I could not defend myself. However, I do remember, is the previous quality was not up to your usual standards. This is real clear, sharp detail and composed perfectly. I could never capture white worth a hoot but you did here. Outstanding in that you have captured the emotion of joy. That rounds the scene out pretty good I think. Job well done. #7973698

WOW Laura, you have stepped out of the box with this gorgeous bride. The lighting highlights her as a definate 'Cinderella' of the wedding! Outstanding composition. And when a photographer captures the emotions of the moment...it is a masterpiece! Bravo!!! a fav!!! 8o) #7973775

Laura- Two things Ilove about this photo that stand out for me other than the obvious beautiful colors, excellent clarity, fabulous lighting.
First of all you went and got yourself some experience doing a photo shoot of something new to you. I can almost bet you tried different settings and tried to look for the best shot. The learning process never ends so I applaud your efforts to improve yourself.
Secondly, you did what many professions fail to do as far as I'm concerned when it comes to portraits. You captured the real moment. The real birde and groom. You can just feel their joy and happiness, you can see it on their faces. This is real.
So Bravo my dear friend. You did an outstanding job of picture taking and learning.
Have a wonderful day, do enjoy. #7974087

You really did capture the 'moment'and that is what the majority of event and documentary style photography is all about. I bet this will be one of their favorites! You obviously have a way with people. It shows! #7974296

Denny E. Barnes level-deluxe September 23, 2009

I've been so busy lately, I'm having a hard time getting around to everybody and missed the first photo. Knowing you it could not have been that bad! I don't know how this one could be any better! Looks perfect in all respects to me and I know it will be a favorite for the wedding couple!! Gorgeous, Laura!!! #7975429

Kirsten Kiki Kjaer September 23, 2009

Well, you sure got a beautiful shot of the occation, SSSL! Look at all the shining details of that lovely wedding gown. Very well captured!!
And I love the way the Groom is leading the Bride on their new path together and off course letting her beauty shine on their way. A very successful wedding picture. A picture I'm sure they'll treasure forever. #7976139

Certainly sounds a dream wedding and a wonderful honeymoon to follow!!!!!! Beautiful capture of a very special moment Laura!! #7978068

Laura E. Swan level-classic September 24, 2009

It WAS a dream wedding Renee. Down to every last detail. It was in black and white and pink! Striking! Done by a wedding planner. The Wedding Place ITSELF was SO POSH and elaborate! Grand Staircase, Classic Ornate Pillars...DOMED CHAPEL with etched glass windows...All in creams and tans! WOW!

The dining room was spacious with two walls of windows (W&S) and it had a fireplace with overstuffed couches there... and tables dressed in black and white and pinks...chairs covered in white silky material with huge black bows at the backs...

Even the ladies room. It was so colorful and elaborate that a person could have spent all day there, too!!! :) !!!

It was a delightful day and it was not only their dream wedding but we all got to enter into the fantasy!

Thanks Renee and all of you for stopping in to appreciate this one.

Hi Ladies!

Karen, you mean the first two! This is the 3rd contest post of this image!!! 2 very good photographers gave me some off the cuff constructive advice on my first contest posting/s and this image was made even better than before. I am grateful to all concerned.

Thanks Kalena! -Lala

Thank you Sherran. It really is. Originally I shot in natural warm lighting which made lightening it up complicated but worth it.

Appreciate the visits!

Capturing the lovely princess with such joy radiating from her face, and getting the WHITE RIGHT!! Two exceptional - and beautiful - accomplishments, Pom!
And, it was quite interesting to read the thread. People's observations, yay or nay, frequently indicate more about them than about the person they're writing to (in this case - you). Whatever "corrections" you made to your original post of 2009 certainly worked. It's a splendid candid shot. And I bet the bride and groom were delighted with whatever version you gave them!! #10361577
