~ White-Tailed Deer ~

Found this mother and her young one during a recent drive thru the beautiful Texas Hill Country this past weekend. Not many wildflowers (which the area is famous for) but plenty of white-tails happily grazing on grass that was green - thanks to our recent rains...

Wonderful!! The perfect capture, Valarie! There are deer ALL over the place, here -- except I never seem to catch them very well! Usually, I catch them running. From behind! As in, away from ME. Or my camera. Either way... this is really precious, love the way they're standing and the expression you caught, on the one who was looking. Beautiful! (We by the way, have wildflowers I cannot BELIEVE! Due to all the rain we had in summer, they are just amazing now. Maybe you will get a bumper crop in spring, instead!) #7970407
