Breakfast

Description

I spotted this little bugger from across my yard having breakfast on my Japanese Maple Tree. He is massive and I don't think my photo does him justice. He is almost 4 inches long and close to an inch thick. I had no problem with him staying still though as it was nice and chilly this morning here in the north east. Photo is SOOC, 100mm macro on my 40d. ISO 640, f9.5, 1/20 of a second, auto white balance with no metering. As scary as he looks I think he still will wind up on my wall! LOL

Exif: F Number: 9.5, Exposure Bias Value: -1.00, ExposureTime: 1/20 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 640, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 100.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 40D

This is wonderful. Like how the deep background colors really enhance the green. They are scary looking but they do make great pictures. #7968792

What a great shot, Scott!! The poor maple leaf looks a bit forlorn....Your comments were very amusing as well and add a friendly element to the photo.
Congratulations! #8067424
