Description

We have just had 2 very hot days, especially for this time of year & this just shows, the local birds weren't ready for it. This poor Butcher bird couldn't get over the heat, I later saw him swimming in the pool. Lens aperture F/5, shutter speed 1/403 sec, focal length 51mm, taken at 2pm in our drive-way..

Thanks Tammy. Yes, I do have a bird-bath but I think they all like the size of the pool better. I only ever see small wagtails use the bird-bath. #7949307

I feel sorry for all our wildlife at the moment Chris! It was 27ºC/80F at my computer desk at 6.30 this morning, I hope that change comes through in a hurry! #7952107

Thank you all for your comments, sorry to take so long to reply, I'm slack!!! Well the wildlife know what heat is the last 2 days here. I have had to keep topping up the bird-bath & put the sprinkler on in one of my tress for them. #8151959
