Hey guys, thanks so much for the feedback! So, everyone seems to think of this as macro--I'm always wondering if something is close enough to be considered macro. I often think of macro as something close enough to see the eye of an insect. Hmmm... And it's so interesting to see what produces responses in others. I really learn from that. I have other shots I consider better that never get one comment. Must be a "gut" thing. #7946339

The category is details and macro, Susan. I have put many shots there that would not qualify under your definition. Check out the finalists and winners in the category.
This one is even better than the one I just commented on -- the lines are superb! #7986480

Thanks, Melissa and Nancy! I've been meaning to put up another version of this pic--a version that Nikki McDonald edited for me. She had suggested a black background, which seemed like a good idea to me, as the brightness in the background does bother me and I had darkened it a little. But her attempt to black out the background was much more successful than mine. Here's her version below (or above--not sure which!) #8064325
