Silver Falls State Park, Oregon
The water was low and the temp (93) was hot but I enjoyed the 8.4 mile hike to see all the falls.
A spectacular canyon with 10 waterfalls
About the Hike: The popular trail through Silver Falls State Park's forested canyons visits 10 spectacular waterfalls, five more than 100 feet high. The path even leads through mossy caverns behind the falls' shimmering silver curtains. This loop is suitable for families with beginning hikers because side trails provide shortcuts back to the car. Dogs are not allowed on the trail.

Beautiful, Denny! The woman sitting there not only adds interest and color, but it gives a perspective of the vastness of the area. Well done! #7937068Carrie M. Groseclose September 12, 2009

Hi Denny,Oregon is alway so beautiful my friend.I spent a few summer up at Hood River when I was just a kid.Very gorgeous capture indeed!!!! #7938080Reynaldo D. Reyes September 13, 2009
Now, this is terrific work Denny, this waterfall is truly spectacular and the addition of the lady on the foreground as she watches the waterfall, puts it over the top and gives that sense of scale and perspective. I'd probably love Oregon because of the Waterfalls but the 8.4 mile hike would probably kill me! LOL! Thank you so much for sharing in the fun and commenting on the Cactus Family capture, the lyrics you added were brilliant, I could not have thought of that. Thanks again. #7938176John Connolly September 13, 2009
My kind of country Denny! A superb image of these beautiful falls, and I love the splash of color in the forground! I can remember the time when an 8 mile hike would have been a breeze for me, LOL!!! #7939833Denny E. Barnes September 13, 2009
