I have no idea what this is, but it's pretty cool! Great comp. even in the background how that leafs center point hits the point edge of the 'thing'! Congrats on your EP! :~) #1184314

I hope that someone will know what this is called. It is very strange. I think it is actually the lily pad itself that I like with its radiating from the center thing going on. The dragonflies liked this plant but I didn't get even one good dragonfly...I'm envious of all your dragonfly pics! Which lens do you generally use to get them? And do you set up your tripod? #7980632

I use my tripod like a monopod for dragonflies and my 105mm Sigma EX 2.8 Macro. I didn't shoot any dragonflies this year....haven't been out shooting minus kids! You have to set out to get them and be very patient. The large ones are very difficult because they don't let you get close to them, but some of the smaller kind aren't as skiddish! :~) #7980639

I didn't have my macro that day, and the light was falling fast. Little buggers are incredibly fast, aren't they? I do have a monopod and will definitely bring that with me the next time the lilies are in bloom. #7980700

ITS CALLED OLD AGE!!! No actually, since I do a lot of my commenting at work in between doing senior transcripts to colleges it happens when I get interrupted. I send my comments and then when I get back I forget that I've sent it since the pages hasn't renewed yet and it looks like it hasn't been sent, so I send it again. At least that is what I think I do. #7980804
