Icarus 1
Description: Nikon 80-400 4.5-5.6 lens at 400; f/16; S1/400; ISO 200. I got this one by sheer persistence. I was shooting handheld with Nikon’s 80-400 4.5-5.6 lens, which, though it has VR on it and is a splendid lens, is nevertheless very slow when it comes to focusing. But I managed to get this image pretty sharp all the same (even full out at 400). This is from the Santa Monica Pier at sunset.
