Hands

Description

This was not planned. I was using my 100-400 lens which is too slow for this situation so I had to crank up the ISO to 3000. I like the lines and how the hands and fingernails are in the white portion. I also like how the banners create pointers to the hands.

Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/320 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 3200, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 300.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark II

G'day *BRUCE*!

I feel this is a cracker of a volleyball shot as you have not only caught the essence the Block but have done so in a most creative way.
The detail of the blocker's hands is fantastic and I really like how you have just enough of the net in shot.
The soft Vs of the well blurred background echo the Vs of the fngers and the background's black circles echo the white circle of the ball.
The whole background supports and helps isolate the hands extremely well.
This should do well for you in my 'umble opinion.
