Murry, Dolores and Carol – thank you for taking time and writing your comments to me!
I’m glad you like this photo. I spent a little bit of time playing with cardboards and this silver cup, while yesterday it was raining and I couldn’t go anywhere. But working indoors for me is always terrible! ;-) I definitely prefer outdoor shooting, when everything is so natural and I don’t have to compose anything.
Thanks again!

You do some really cool stuff, Monika. I just read an article in Petersen's Photographic about how to occupy one's time at home with a camera. You've been busy. Excellent work. #66079

Monika Sapek May 26, 2019

Thank you for your nice comment, Bernard!
Taking this photo it wasn’t easy for me, but it was fun. I had this whole idea in my head before and finally I made it, but I’m not sure if it was exactly what I wanted. When I make something at home, I’m never completely satisfied.
What is Petersen’s Photographic? I buy many magazines every month but I don’t remember seeing anything like it. Is it a magazine?

Yes it is a magazine. The April 2003 issue of PHOTOGRAPHIC (the Petersens' part of the name is small and runs the length of the P in Photographic) has this article I mentioned called "Renaissance Lighting in Your Living Room" and its all about setting up to shoot at home when, for some reason, you can't go outside. You should pick up a copy if you can. It's usually pretty interesting and quite informative as well.

Good talkin' with you. #66586

Bernard, thanks for the fast respond to my question! When you wrote the title of the article I realized I already have the magazine! And the funniest thing is I bought it just because of the article ;-). I found there many helpful tips. Usually I buy “Photography Monthly”, “Practical Photography” and “Outdoor Photographer” where there is a lot of nice information. I really like them. I bet you know those titles, too.

It’s good talking to you, too ;-).

Yes, I get the Petersen's Photographic delivered to me, along with Outdoor Photographer and PC Photo. You may or may not know that PC Photo is a good informational guide for the digital photographer who works both with the camera, of course, and the software. I see you use a G1. I'm now using a G2. PC Photo gives you a lot of great info. for image correction (tip, techniques etc.). #67022

I will check this PC Photo next time I’m at the bookstore. Thanks for the information, Bernard!
