A HAND-PAINTED LOOK - ACBP - Elective

Uploaded: August 11, 2009

Description

I have selected this image as one of my electives for certification because it represents my love for and continuing learning of Photoshop techniques and layers to add creativity to my images.
Set-up: Because children rarely stay in one place I chose to place her in the shade of the patio and chose a wide-open aperture, an ISO of 250 to be able to have an acceptable shutter speed to capture her at 1/200.

Exif: F Number: 5, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/200 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 250, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 90.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 30D

What a sweet photo! I love the look on her face. The treatment you gave this is wonderful. :) #7872775

Thank you, Dianne and Theresa - I think this is my favorite one of the shoot as well. She really wanted to be on the patio so I finally gave in and just let her be where she wanted to be. This treatment was primarily an effort to help decrease the distracting background. I think it worked! I love the look of hand-painted photographs. Some of my mother's best photographs were treated that way and I've always wanted to be able to be able to do this digitally. #7886220
