Celebration Of Power...

Uploaded: August 07, 2009

Description

Monthly Theme - August 7/09

This 45 foot tall icon fountain with its cascading weirs/funnels turns into a display of power that feels like it's going to explode...
Hydro-Teslatron, uses high-tech lasers, LED technology and 7,000 gallons of recycled water flowing through replicas of generators and turbines to tell a 7 min. story. Testatron is a celebration of power/energy to recognize Niagara Falls as the birthplace of harnessing electricity to light large areas. The rushing water turns from tranquil blue to reddish-orange, while 'electrical sparks' run up and down the interior of the dome. Teslatron pays tribute to the importance of hydroelectric power and the genius of Yugoslavian Inventor Nikola Tesla.
Niagara Falls became the first site in North America to generate/distribute AC Power.
(Found in the main gallery of the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort, Canada.)

Thank You Momj! I did have a 'relaxing' birthday...

Thank you too for commenting on Teslatron! I needed to shoot her up-close and personal because so many people were around Teslatron it was tough to get a glimpse of this amazing icon. I wish I could of had the complete gallery- entrance empty... it would of been something to see, especially at night- Teslatron in the middle of this huge rotunda architecture!
