Good morning and many thanks Thomas.Barbara E. Gould August 03, 2009
Very nice Peter! Great DOF and as with Thomas, I love the beautiful color!Susan M. Reynolds August 04, 2009
I love the contrast of vibrant colors between the butterfly and the yellow petals with the muted green in the BG. Nice DOF and the composition works well for me too. You ought to enter this in the monthly contest! #7813940Peter W. Marks August 04, 2009
Thank you so much ladies! To be able to sit in our yard and just soak up the beauty of our flowers and trees, the humming birds and cardinals the monarchs and these dark blues(no idea what species this is) makes me realise just how blessed I am. Even the cold, 'el cheapo' chardonnay in my glass takes on a magical quality. I feel truly blessed!Barbara E. Gould August 04, 2009
Sounds like a beautiful place and the right attitude!Meghan Gonski August 18, 2009
Great photo! Congrats on the EP! I was going to say it looks a hint overexposed in places but since no one has said anything I guess it's my laptop. I have the hardest time getting it in the right position.Peter W. Marks August 20, 2009
Hey, thanks Meghan. Interesting that you should think I had over-exposed this image. I thought I had got it about right with the whites being white and the blacks being completely black. Hope they appear this way on your screen.Meghan Gonski August 20, 2009
Sorry I should have clairfied better, I meant the background, yellow, appears overexposed on my screen (and my dad's computer). The butterfly is excellently exposed though like you said the blacks vs the whites--must have been hard! #7872955Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
