Do not know if this works and it was great stress relief. I motion blurred, erased in low opacity and posterized. #1155877

It works for me Ellen. I like the detail that remained in the face of the jockey on the left. #7752502

Ellen, this is fabulous. it portrays the moment perfectly. Well done. #7752530

Ellen I think this is a great action shot! Love the colors and the motion portrayed in the shot. I am not sure the posterization really adds to the shot but overall it seems to work well. #7753332

so was there some motion blur in the original or did you add it all? I like this a lot. not a huge fan of the posterization but it's still cool.

now i'm all curious about capturing motion after trying to photograph race cars. what's you secret Ellen? :-) #7753859

I think this is a great shot, Ellen? You should have seen me today out at my friend's ranch trying to take pictures of her and her horse and her miniature donkey and one of her dogs. It really was a zoo and I did get a few shots. I thought of you and wished you'd been with me to help me in my equestrian experience! Will probably post a small album for her to took at tomorrow. In my mind it was, "What would Ellen Do? "How would she tell me how to do this shot?". #7754085

Thanks Jeff and Dale after a week of working with my husband I needed to get away and decompress. Having a business with a spouse is a great test for the marriage. He does nothing my way, and for all you husbands the wifes way is the ONLY way.;))

Thanks Mike the shot needed something else so I posterized, of course I did not save any of this process, because I thought this shot was a lost cause until the very end. So to take away the posterization I would have to redo.

Thanks Tony, every race is unique and every horse brings their own twist. Here is a shot of the 2 horses behind these two. #7754471

Thanks Jeanine.
Jodi, I added all the motion blur, then erased to bring out some detail. Your race car shot is good, and I have no secrets. The coaching from the club about shutter higher speeds really helped, I still can not follow the action and get a shot, so I focus on one spot and let them come to it. Then I take a bizillion shots and some turn out. Head on shots are easier, they are going slower.
Debbie sometimes knowing about equestrian ways you miss the best shots. Really want to see your album, knowing you it will be awsome!!! #7754508

Ellen, it is on the first page of my gallery. Finished it up around 1:45 this morning. Wanted to get it done right away since we leave Tuesday for an overnighter in Denver because we are going to Red Rocks (this amazing amphitheatre with the best acoustics you can find anywhere to see Journey and Heart). Back to back, we leave from Denver Tuesday to head for Salt Lake City to see my son for a few days. This will give her time to decide which photos she wants. I'd really like your opinion. Thanks. Love the "dirt" shot! Reminds me of those great shots of football players playing in the mud! #7755403

Thanks Debbie, your shots from the ranch are great, she is going to love them. Have fun on your trips.
Thanks Debbra, I appreciate it.
Thanks Mike, some horses do not have issues with dirt in their face, but this one looks really mad. #7758099
