everything else seems to pale in comparison with just a photo of this spectacular event. it must have been exactly like being there when the firmament was made. "beautiful" and "awe-inspiring" are just not enough to describe the feelings I get from this photo, chris.
WELL DONE! #1306349

You must be pretty close with God to get a shot like that...did He tell you when to press the shutter? :)Incredible and even more beautiful with the verse. #1381775

WOW - this is an awesome image - May I be hit with the bolt for asking but - Is this an actual capture of lightning or is this an overlayed effect? I only ask because I have a photoshop effect that makes lightning that looks very much like this bolt.

Real or CGI - It's a great image :-)
good work #1383517

Thanks everyone for your kind comments! Hate to ruin it for anyone, but this is the result of a lot of Photoshop work. Shot was initially taken from a Highway rest stop, I rotated it, enlarged the canvas, added the Flaming Pear Flood filter, Xero's Porcelain filter, and finally added the lightning filter from AlienSkin Xenoflex 2 pack. Here is the original. #1383731

Heheheh - Coool -
I knew I recognized that lightning and the coloration was all wrong for a noon day sunbeam streaming straight down -

Great Work man - Powerful image. Sorry to dash everyone's perfect timing theories - ;-)
But really - lol - that would have been a truly miraculous capture - especially with those f/stops and shutter speeds. #1385494
