Rita, I love back lit shots and this is a beauty. Vibrant colors, good composition, and excellent DOF. I like it.#1153246

Me too Rita. Love it! Great technicals all around and a super BG making your flower subject stand out perfectly. I would say a definite EP as is. #7731976Rita K. Connell July 12, 2009
Thanks Dale and Michael I love back lit shot also, my hawk and butterfly got pass over but my ladybug got her stamp of approval I am hoping this one will also. I was able to get this shot just about 25 minutes before the light was gone for the evening. I made sure the sun was behind on this one, the daisy had in front. #7732052Debbie E. Payne July 12, 2009
Lovely, Rita. I rarely am lucky enough to get good backlighting. The background has a wonderfully soft, yet distinguishable quality that I really like. Yes, I'd say it's ready "as is"! #7732444Rita K. Connell July 12, 2009
thank you Debbie, you have done so many beautiful flower is it the flower catagory I should enter this in? I am not sure where it goes. in the macro and detail or when in the flower. I hate to keep asking I havent entered enough in the contest to know. #7732541Jeff E Jensen July 12, 2009
Fabulous Rita! Like the others, I am a fan of back lighting, it sure is hard to beat.I would probably put this in the flowers category. #7732715

Awesome colors Rita!! :) Great work on this shot!! :) #7734067Vicki Snow July 13, 2009
great job with the back lighting..the flower looks like its floating...the colors are beautiful and vibrant...the only thing I see in improvement is the noise..I'd do a pass with noise reduction #7734646Sharon Lohrmann July 13, 2009
the colors came out really nicely on this image. purple and organge make for a great combination. I think it would have benefited from having a reflector in the front - it's get a bit dark in the center of the flower.you've probably submitted it already (good luck!), but for what it's worth, I would have entered it in the flower category. #7735759

beautiful! love how the blues in the bg complement the reds and oranges of the flower #7738869Rita K. Connell July 14, 2009
thank you all for your kind words, just thought I would let you know it got pass over before I take it off. Don't have much luck with EP but I am Ok with that. All your comments let me know it was a nice picture. #7738950Christie R. Bielss July 14, 2009
EP's are a crap-shoot to be sure. The center of this flower looks pretty clear - wondering if you cropped in much closer, what that would look like. #7739159Debbra Bailey July 14, 2009
Rita, just beautiful! I love your color, lighting and composition! #7740302Michael Kelly July 14, 2009
Rita hang in there they are doing photos out of order a bit this month. I think due to the down day they had on the 3rd. It may still make it - I think it deserves to even if it does not. #7740397Rita K. Connell July 15, 2009
Michael you were right... It came up to day...EP for this one. #7742705Susan M. Reynolds July 15, 2009
