To respond to some of your questions...
This image was taken with a Canon 10D on a two week trip to Australia and New Zealand taken at X-mas time in 2003. Some other pics from the trip can be found here, http://www.pbase.com/ageorge/downunder. I was new to photography at the time, so be gentel:) The water color is natural and is more impresive in person. The color comes from fine granite particals from the glacial runoff from the glaciers around the Mount Cook area.

Waaa-hoooo! Go New Zealand! This beautiful site is about 2 hours drive from my house, and I have seen it many times. How much greater appreciation I have seeing it through the eyes of a visitor to our country! Just to let everyone know, I was at Lake Pukaki today - and no, it doesn't always look like that!! It was foggy and you couldn't even see most of the mountains! So don't get too jealous!
