Laundry Day at the Farm

Description

----
To kick off my series on the "Bucks County Barns of Distinction" tour that I enjoyed yesterday, this was one of my favorites. At Anchor Run Farm in Wrightstown, Pennsylvania. I don't know if the wash was intentionally color-coordinated with the flowers...but the chicken and I were wondering together...

Before I even read your caption, I had the same thought: the laundry and the flowers match! How cool is that??? This is such a great capture! It really has all the elements. As Amy pointed out, the chicken has a starring role and really punctuates the shot! Excellent find and photo, Michelle! #7730629

This is a riot! You are a hoot!

This reminds me of the time I was about 5 or 6, maybe. I was mad at my Mom about something. I was playing on the back porch as she left the house to take a load of clothes to the clothesline.
After she passed me I faced towards her back and stuck my tongue out at her as far as it would reach! Simultaneously, she turned around and caught me.

Mom: "What are you doing?"

Stupid Jim: "Nothing .. just licking some jelly from my mouth." (I can think incredibly fast when I have to)
(If the truth is known, we probably hadn't even had any jelly for weeks or months ..)

Mom: "You march right over to that bush and break off a switch and bring it to me!"

Stupid Jim: (Brain kicking into high gear)

Mom: "I will teach you a lesson you'll never forget young man ... don't you ever lie to me again!"

And the lesson worked ... I never forgot that little simple lesson of life. I never lied to mother again either. But I did test my dad once when I was about 10 or 11. That didn't work either.

Thanks for the memories, Michelle, and the chuckles! I simply love this shot!!
