Hi Susan. I think I prefer this version over the one you showed us on our club gallery. Although we can't see her eyes behind the shades, her whole smile comes through to hold our attention.

Thank you so much all and Peter, I think I do like this one better than the first too. It was worth it to go through all the photo bins so I could re-scan it and try my hand at it again...but, where are you seeing this photo from though? When I tried to load it into the group photo gallery for Capturing Time I just keep getting an error message. So I went to the gallery and it wasn't there-so I don't know where you guys can see this from...any help?
Thanks,
~S~ #7678040

The things I do for you Susan! P17 of your Basic gallery. You must have had this on the club gallery within the past week or so because it has responses from Meghan and Geri and Geri makes referance to me also having a similar Olympus film camera to hers.

Thanks Pete!
I found the edited version but the original with all the feedback is gone. It is so weird because when I click on the link to the thread from my email, it shows up in the correct format with the original on top all the first feedback and then this edited version.
Now all I see is the edited version with it's new comments...so it's floating out there somewhere in cyberspace I guess!

p.s. Thought I would add the original here so it there would be something to compare it with. #7679227

p.s.s. I forgot to change the camera. This was taken with a Nikon N65 film camera using Black and White Ilford film.

Thank you! It is my daughter. We had a fun Girl's Day out, dressed vintage and took shots with my film camera in Black & White. This was August 2004. Here is are a few shots from that fun shoot and one of her and her brother (the one in the red hat is her brother) and her fiance in December 2005, so you could see her behind the shades...oh and she would want you to know they were special order "shades" from French Fashion Designer Christian Dior! lol She cracks me up with her sunglasses... Her and her brother both Loved sunglasses!

I know some of the photos are overexposed...just remember...I was brand-new to my Nikon film camera and was clueless about anything such as diffusers, exposure, aperture, shutterspeed etc. etc! Now I'm just "slightly" less clueless! lol
Here are just a couple more from our shoot that fun day. #7688134

I just ordered quite a lot of photos taken from Zenfolio (from Mpix) in all different sizes to make a colletion on the wall of my daughter's bedroom now that she is married and moved out.
Heard about Mpix.com from a fellow photographer in another group. Stated the work was beautiful and gave tons of choices on sizes at a very reasonable price. Wanted to check out the quality and types of paper before I joined. You get a 15 day free trial with Zenfolio so if you are looking for a lab, I would suggest trying them out. I am waiting for my first order now.
I tried all three papers including the Metalic...can't wait to get them!

I meant photos taken that day! and Collection...wish they had spell check on here!
p.s. Once you select which photos you want to print, it will even give you a guide to the best sizes for it!

Hi Susan. And a big 'yes' to your B&W work too. Thanks for the info re Mpix. Just a question; do you frame and hang these images and typically what sort of sizes are they and what type of frames? I ask this as we all look at each other's stuff on our monitors and I often wonder how many of the members' hundreds of images ever get to hang on a wall.

Thank you Shan and Pete for your kind words.
Yes, I have odered prints from the photo shoot that day. I ordred a variety of sizes some in square format and all different sizes from 5x7 up to 24x36. I plan to hang them in a collection on the wall, just hunting for coordinating frames to match.
I have around a 14 other photos that I've taken matted and framed on my walls also....so Pete, in answer to your questiong, yes we DO hang some of our photos. I've also framed some and given them as gifts to people...they seem to really like them (hope they are not just trying to make me feel good! lol) I've got requests for my Chicago skyline at night and my B&W of the Golden Gate Bridge too, so we'll see.
After all, of the 1000's we print, a few DO get framed and hung! I have a tiny house on a huge lot...wish the house was bigger so I could hang more, but...oh well..maybe someday I can add-on to give me more gallery space! LOL #7804235

Susan M. Reynolds level-addict August 01, 2009

Ooops. sorry, I meant Shari!
I also meant that of the 1000's we TAKE we do print and hang some of them! #7804242
