Thanks. This was taken at the Oliver Miller Homestead here in Pittsburgh. Every Sunday, they have a reenactment of pioneer days. So I'll be posting even more as the weeks go by. Next week is a sheep shearing. And in the fall is a candlelight night. Should be fun. #7515914

Mary Beth- I have always been fasinated with the past and how people lived. I love going to places like this where they recreate the times and even going so far to do things as they were done back then, even the clothing. I think the lighting and tones are perfect. Love the light shining through the window. The antique furniture is so beautiful and would a wonderful addtion to any room. I love the spinning wheel, the old clothes, and that braded rug as I remember my mother making them. The textural quality is superb.

This image has now become one of my very favorite images I have ever seen on BP. I love it Mary Beth.
We have a place called, "Heritage Park", here where I live and they reenact the old days for us all day. It's a wonderful place to visit. Cookies baking and a fully operating bakery...old time dress and all of them staying in character.
I love the treatments you used on this one. They were perfect. This is exceptional. I hope it goes gold.
