Recent photos by Melodie and Aimee brought this image back to mind. Amadeus, the 16-year-old Cocker Spanial, had just passed on. It was Autumn, 2007, on a boardwalk through the bog at Silver Lake Park in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Amadeus wasn't really there (nor was that particular sky), but I imagined him there, on that beautiful pathway...looking back for the last time, before moving on to that place--where Minera, Darby I, Darby II, Caylee, Banshee, and Peter were already waiting to reunite with us.

Michelle- the artwork of this picture is so beautiful and it does have a heavenly look to it. What a gorgeous place to be departing from to go to another wonderful place. As any pet owner knows, the lose is felt deep and is a sad time. The memories is what keeps us going as we remember the joy we shared with them. I love the story as it tells not of an end, but of a moving on to something better.
