Description

My photography brought me to the Bahamas this weekend and I had some downtime... I came across some gang bangers and they were kind enough to allow me to shoot them.... A really rough group of people...but after a few minutes of showing them what I can capture they were all into the camera.... Amazing really!!!! This was not shot in the studio. It was shot in the streets of the Bahamas...On this shot I placed the gang member in the shadows and the backdrop was direct sunlight... I added a ton of flash with a SB-800, spot metered and overexposed. I have been reading hot shoe diaries by Joe McNally...great book
I hope they like what I got.... that was the deal, that they get a copy of all the shots
Comments and suggestions welcome.
Cheers, joe

sorry but I wouldn't waste my time on these good for nothing pieces of shit. 4 days ago.. my daughter's friend was stabbed right through the heart for no reason by one of these worthless, heartless losers.Way to put them in good light. #1124218

Jodi, My heart and sympathies go out to you. your daughter, and your daughters family.
I know that is is not very comforting to see this scene highlighted.... BUT on the other hand, maybe, just maybe... I made a difference in one of their lives... I preached to them on how I could capture them and they were very respectful of me and my skills in making them look "larger than life"
Who knows..... But it is reality and it IS worthy of capturing.
Cheers and peace,
