Anthony I really like this one. POV is terrific across the chess board and the expression matches the title perfectly. No suggestions here just a great shot. #1124419Esther R. Tinz May 07, 2009
Boy is he DEEP in thought. Love it - and the title absolutely fits. #7494460Jeanine M. Bailey May 07, 2009
I agree! Great shot!! :) I really like the black and white!! :) #7494930Ellen H. Robertson May 07, 2009
Fantastic shot. Title says it all. Love the POV. Did he win??One thing I find a little distracting, there is a glowing circle to the left of his hand right at the edge. #7495264

Friday, May 8, 2009 - St Louis University - 2009 Chess Championship. Will we be seeing this young man in competition? I've heard they are always looking for the next Bobby Fischer. It's a great photo - storytelling, focused, b&W, well composed. Just great. #7496375

Thanks everyone for the great compliments..Its almost bittersweet though since I enjoy playing around with the suggestions you guys make but it also obviously feels great that it was so well received..i will just darken the light spot Ellen mentioned and enter into the contest today..By the way, he is a very smart kid and began reading at age 3 1/2, but a chess prodigy he is not...we were actually playing this round with dice and knocking each others men off on every turn, moving the pieces around the board indiscriminantly... #7496491

Perfect capture! Looks like he is really contemplating his next move even if it is just knocking them all over! LOL! Wonderful work Tony! :~) #7496504Christie R. Bielss May 07, 2009
Love it Tony! Your son is so cute! We play that game with little army men and a fuzzy ball!Get ready Tony - my son at 7 is at @ a 4th Grade level in math and reading - and he learned to read early too. The reading homework I can handle - the new math they use these days is killer.....and I leave that for my husband! LOL! #7496815
