the elephants visit

Uploaded: April 14, 2005 08:51:01

Description

again taken in South Africa. The elephants actually came to drink from our swimming pool every day - with beating heart I managed to get within 5 metres then used my zoom (75-300 mm). It was early afternoon and the sky was overcast, so I aimed to cut out all the sky and just fill my lens with elephants. Obviously, the colour would have been much improved at sunrise or sunset, but it was a case of working with available conditions.

Thank you, Cathy. I was on holiday in South Africa for the last 2 weeks. Sadly, nothing this exciting ever comes into my backyard in my house in Hertfordshire, UK. Thanks for your comment. #1256543
