What a delightful sight we were treated to yesterday, Terry! Seeing these new hatchlings and their Mom left me feeling wonderful throughout the day!
Loved running into you at Forest Lawn... I laugh when I think of you, me, and Barbara, all laying on the ground, on our bellies (goose poop and all!), with our lenses pointed at these goslings!

Terri...I'm so happy to see you got POD. Not only is it wonderful for you but it is wonderful for me. I'm so glad I got to see this beautiful, heart warming photo.
Incidently, I noticed that the chicks were not the same color. The yellow one was obviously less mature as the feathers turn grey as they mature. I know some animals kill any sickly babies, supposedly because they want to conserve the available food for the ones that will be well enough to survive and be healthy. I don't know if this is true of geese or not. But I am wondering if the yellow one was ill and that accounted for the lack of the more mature grey feathers. It is a very sad thing to hear and must have been much worse to see.
