Canon 24-105L,32mm,30 sec,f/16,ISO 100,1/3 EV,flash did not fire,used mirror lockup,remote switch,polarizer,focused +/- 13 ft per hyperfocal chart

This image was made approximately 6 minutes after the horizontal image. I used a long exposure to attenuate very minor ripples in the water.

To me, this image draws much more attention to the cattails, and they become stronger foreground elements than in the horizontal image, typical of a near-far image. It also draws more attention to the spatial relationship between the two clumps of cattails and the shore behind.

Exif: F Number: 16, Exposure Bias Value: 0.33, ExposureTime: 30/1 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 100, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 32.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 40D
