Description

Shutter speed: 1/60 sec
Aperture: f/1.8
ISO 800
Lens: Nikkor 50mm 1.8D

This was recently taken at our local zoo. It was a pretty cold day so the Leopard was being kept indoors. Luckily I was able to get a shot through the glass enclosure.

Awesome shot Michael - I really like the way you exposed this so that the glass wouldn't distort the frame - great job! #235429

Michael--this is awesome. I love the dof which makes the face pop and the detail/color is this beautiful animal. Good job! Lorri #1246903

Thank you!

The viewing glass in the Leopard's enclosure was covered in fingerprints and smudge marks. There was a small section that was relatively clean so I positioned myself there and waited. My wife was standing next to me blocking all the reflections and the cat walked over and just stared at her like she was on the dinner menu :o) #1247691
