Angled Axes

Uploaded: April 04, 2009

Description

f/7.1, ISO: 100, Focal Length: 52 mm. Exposure Compensation: -2/3.
Study of Shadow and reflection on water with a pile structure shot at an angle.
The shadow created by the shorter pile seems to divide the angle between that pile and its reflection in two equal angles.
Also, through a different view, the short pile, its shadow and its reflection form angled Cartesian axes.
Photo taken near the shore of Lake Ronkonkoma in Long Island, New York, during the month of March 2009.

Exif: F Number: 7.1, Exposure Bias Value: -0.67, ExposureTime: 1/200 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 100, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 52.00 mm, Model: NIKON D300

This is a perfect example of how a persons mind and imagination can come to life with enough careful study. I love your description below the image of what this shot means to you. For me, I see wonderful lines and shadows in harmony and all having the same target point. They all do their "own thing" and yet "meet in the sand"! All three images.

Kind of like we BP'ers! :) -Amen!?

Love it Rolan. Great find and awesome job here. I really enjoyed this one! It's so simple but so thought provoking!
