Thanks everyone for the great suggestions on the previous post of this image. I've decided to abandon the whole idea of the original shot and go for the abstract instead. #1108988

Anthony L. Mancuso April 04, 2009

I like this one much better Dale..I think the clouds bring something to the image here as opposed to being a distracting element in the original. #7372675

John Connolly April 05, 2009

Beautiful work here Dale, your composition and color is outstanding! Well done! #7372825

Esther R. Tinz April 05, 2009

Ellen H. Robertson level-classic April 05, 2009

I like this one better also. This one flows. Great shot.

Are those power lines on the left just above the field? #7373071

Great Image! #7373553

Hi Dale. This is a beautiful photograph. The furrows look like a giant fan stretching to the horizon. Great DOF, color and composition and the whole picture pulls you into see the nice cloud formations in the back. I did not see the other version you speak of, but I think this one is a winner.

Somehow I missed your original, Dale, but this one is awesome. Love the perspective. And it tells a good story, too. #7375230

Jeanine M. Bailey April 05, 2009

BEAUTIFUL sky Dale!!! I like lines in this shot!!! :) #7375307

Dale Hardin April 05, 2009

A big thanks to everyone that helped me with this image. Your support and help are out standing. Where would I be without you? All the nice comments and suggestions are so very much appreciated.

Ellen, you have a great eye. I missed those lines entirely. That's what I get for being in a hurry.

I've taken them out just for you and then just for the fun of it added something else. :-) #7375319

Eleanor Lasta April 06, 2009

Excellent! Great use of leading lines, rule of thirds, & DOF! #7377154

Dale Hardin April 06, 2009

Thank you so much Eleanor. And thanks for sharing your wonderful gallery. I enjoyed myself there tremendously. #7377685

I have loved watching this image grow into what it is now! I find it facinating how this club works. So simple yet effective. I just don't understand why there aren't more clubs like this on BP! O'well don't have much time left over after Phellos anyway! I love the addition of the birds...really add interest to this and makes it more than just an abstract. Your other improvements are great as well. That spot in the middle of the field still drives me nuts (short drive), but it doesn't seem to bother anyone else. LOL! :~) #7377746

Dale Hardin April 06, 2009

I agree Aimee. This club is indeed unique and simply a joy to be a part of. Other groups don't know what they are missing. We are indeed indebted to you and your vigilance at keeping it that way.

Guess I'll have to ride along with you on your "short drive" trip 'cause I can't see any spot. Thanks to everyone for helping me on this production. #7378832

Aimee C. Eisaman April 06, 2009

LOL...okay...the row to the left of the one on the diagonal in the lower left hand corner. Follow it up to below the large cluster of clouds and there is a circular color distortion in the field. It is about the size of a dime on the screen. #7378906

Ellen H. Robertson level-classic April 06, 2009

Thanks Dale, this is an awsome shot. Like the birds.
Everyone in this club has taught me so much and it is done with care and honesty. Aimee I really do not know how you manage to get any photos, with 3 little ones and boys at that, and have created and managed this club to be a safe place to grow and learn. #7378970

Anthony L. Mancuso April 06, 2009

The birds are a great addition Dale...the diagonals in the field draw the eye right to them.. #7379255

Joan E. Hoffman April 06, 2009

Shoot... missed the original Dale... but this is Joan's Pick of the day!! #7379730

Dale Hardin April 06, 2009

Aimee, I am still struggling to find the area. Is this it?

Ellen, Tony, and Joan, thanks for the positive response. This final image is really a collaborative image, thanks to all of you. #7380107

Aimee C. Eisaman April 07, 2009

Yes Dale....you found it! KInda like a wheres Waldo! LOL! What is it? :~) #7380984

Dale Hardin April 07, 2009

It appears to be a smudge on the lens Aimee. It was damp that morning. Might be able to clone it out though. #7382014

Marisol Pastor April 26, 2009

Spectacular leading lines Dale! They really draw you into the horizon. #7451965

Dale Hardin April 26, 2009

You're very kind Marisol. I'm inspired to do this type image from shots like yours. I admire your work so much because your style of abstract captures really fits my way of seeing everyday objects.

For some unexplained reason I've strayed away from getting those types lately. Have no idea why 'cause I love them. #7453021
