Canadian Geese gather at St. John's Conservation Park. I love this area, because in the middle of the park is a big pond. The b/g greens are the beautiful trees surrounding the pond and reflecting in the water. The Canadian Goose in the distance is actually standing in the shallow water grooming himself.

Hi Mary, Thank you very much for saying so! I just entered this image in BP's Contest today... 'animal' category.. I hope they like it too.Anthony L. Mancuso March 01, 2009
Great compostion and subject here, I like the other blurred goose adding background interest..it seem like the main goose's head is slightly out of focus though..don't know if you could try to apply some sharpening to it. :-) #7230768Christine Lobsinger March 02, 2009
Hi Anthony, thank you for your kind words above...I will sharpen the goose - just wondering if there is a way to 'just sharpen the head?'Anthony L. Mancuso March 02, 2009
Can't remember what software you use Christine but in PS and PSE you can select just the head and try using unsharp mask. #7232212Christine Lobsinger March 02, 2009
Thanks Anthony... I will try it.Christine Lobsinger March 02, 2009
