We had a wee bit of snow last night with the winds gusting all night. Which lead to deep drifts in our driveway. This morning I followed behind my husband truck with my car. Thought for sure I would get stuck. Thankfully I did not. When I returned home a few hours later I did get stuck. We have quite a long driveway which is at an incline. If you can imagine me at the bottom of the driveway backing into the road so I could get a good run at it, talking sweet nothings to my car “I know you can, I know you can”. ¾ of the way up I became stuck. Now keep in mind our driveway is nothing but ice now. I barely got my door open as there was so much snow. I grabbed the two bags of groceries, our mail, my purse and gingerly walked the rest of the way. . I just keep praying that I wouldn’t fall then freeze to death. The forecast for today is ..lots of sunshine. with a cold wind that will gust as high as 45 mph from the NW. Highs in the mid and upper teens. wind chill hovering around 0 all day. Blowing snow throughout the day with possible flurries in the afternoon. Also keep in mine that I was still in a wonderful mood up until the point that my husband called and asked if I made it up the driveway. This is where miscommunication started. I said I made it part way up the driveway. Tom then asked “DID YOU GET STUCK?” Now from my point of view that was a wee bit of a silly question. “NO I JUST THOUGHT I’D LEAVE THE CAR BLOCKING THE DRIVEWAY IN THE SNOW DRIFT AND GO FOR A NICE LITTLE WALK.”
I hope all of you have a wonderful Friday the 13th. J

And I pouted around the house all day because I canceled a RV show in KC due to promise of unstable weather. A day I am sure will be a long time forgetting. I love the stories. I hope the rest of your weekend turns out a little better. #7162115

LOL Shouldn't laugh but have been in the same position many years ago when we lived in Massachusetts. It's not fun! Be careful out there!! #7162484
