Quilt on Cross - after

Description

This is a project I am working on for a friend, who wanted a photograph to be used for a logo for a retreat she is directing. I first selected the quilt and cross, used distort to change the angle, cloned the upper cross and then painted them using the watercolor brushes. For the background I used a gradient layer, painted it with WC brushes, added a base with shading using a gradient and then used a circular gradient behind the cross layer. I then followed the instructions in the WOW book (page 387 - CS/CS2 book) to add a water color texture layer and photocopy layer to make it all look like a water color painting. I like the overall effect of this technique.
