Through Textured Glass

Description

F6.7, 1 sec, 129mm (EF70-200 f/4l IS USM + 1.4x) Extension. Soft Warming Filter. This was shot through textured iridescent glass. The result is affected by how close the flower is to the glass, the background color lighting and the front lit lighting. The lighting effects of the glass changes with the tilt. A big challenge I always have is to get the glass at the right tilt to stay up. I had to tape the flower to the back of the glass in the place I wanted it. This was one of the last pics I took before the flower just fell apart. The glass was positioned close to the front door precariously propped up by a frame. There was reflective light from the car streaming in. I also used a reflector for a bit more warmth. It's a bit frustrating to work with the glass but the results always seem to have a unique look of their own.
