Eastmans barn 1876

Uploaded: January 17, 2009

Description

Between Grafton and Alton IL. This barn was built in 1876 which was the same year as Gen.Custer was defeated by Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull. Colorado became the 38th State and there was a bitter presidential contest(what's new!) before Rutherford Hayes was elected US President. This barn is semi derelict, not an historical renovation.

A detail very well seen and composed! perfectly divided in two equal parts and a great simplicity on its colors... #1070561

Thank you so much Daniella. I am hoping others will agree with you as it was a deliberate intent on my part to not slavishly follow the "rule of thirds"! #7052886

What beautiful tones, Peter -- the golden yellow is very pleasing with the browns and brownish red. Nicely seen, captured and presented. #7080685
