I love the effects on this, Arya. I'm just not sure about the vertical presentation. We'll see how quickly I get voted down. (Big smile) #1171617

Cindy Paquette March 14, 2005

Ohhhhh Myyyyyyyy Arya....this image is such a beauty! I love this! It's beautiful the way it is, but I do see what Steve is seeing/saying. I bet it would look stunning horizontal as well! #1171769

Arya Bandyopadhyay March 14, 2005

Thanks, Paul, Steve and Cindy!!! Here's all the three versions....you decide!!
As far as i'm concerned, I like the light falling from above!!! #1171814

Arya Bandyopadhyay March 14, 2005

The versions.... #1171829

Kathleen Clemons March 14, 2005

I like them all, Arya! #1171971

Steve Mescha March 14, 2005

You're right, Aria. Isn't it funny how our eye can detect where the light should be coming from. Of the rotated shots, 90 ccw looks the closest to natural to me. #1171972

Dan Holm March 14, 2005

Wow!! This is AWESOME, Arya!! Absolutely gorgeous! #1171978

They are all gorgeous, Arya. I vote for the one you originally posted - vertical with light coming from the top. #1172491

Cindy Paquette March 14, 2005

Wow WHEE...I love them all as well! Have to say this though Arya...you are correct...the flower looks fabulous with the light shining down from above...still love the 90 CW tho, but the original is the best as far as lighing the entire image! Thank you Arya for posting the otheres!! #1172694

Just beautiful, Arya!
I love the b/w format, detail and presentation.
The vertical format makes it unique and interesting.
Good job!

Arya Bandyopadhyay March 14, 2005

Thank you all for partcipating in this discussion! Thank you, Steve, for initiating it!!
One thing is clear...lighting a object or a human face from below is unnatural..
Nature has shown us that the key light from anywhere along the path of the sun is the best... #1173125
