Description

aperture f5.6, shutter 1/30; I saw this young man motioning for everyone to come see this amazing artwork. He looked like he was going into a tunnel of chickens. I used BW film, printed on matte paper(darkroom) and hand colored the young man.

This is a simple BW film image, printed in the darkroom, and the young man, my son, is hand colored with photo oils...this is an old technique used before color film hit the scene...I taught classes in this for awhile. I am afraid it is becoming a lost art with the digital revolution! #1223209

Shirley, I shot this, then contacted the artist whose work we are admiring in the photo behind my son...I asked for permission to enter this photo in some Atlanta "things"...his reply was "Go for it"...I told him if it did well we would recognize him as well...I will get more info for you all about his artwork...This image received a "Best Alternative" award here in Atlanta at a Roswell show...I am so very grateful for this BP honor!
