Description

We endured the worst ice storm in NH history the week before Christmas. Our family experienced six days without power while others went almost two weeks.

Kathy, I looked at the photos in your gallery of the ice storm, great shots! l live in Quebec and it brings back a lot of memories. We had a major ice storm in Quebecin back'98 that we're still talking about! Unfortunately, I have few pictures because we were warned not to got outside for fear of branches and power lines falling on us! I live in the Montreal area and was out of power for 2 weeks and some of my friends for 3. NH sent some of its hydro crews to help out. I remember enccountering them one afternoon as I was driving home on the highway and being elated at their arrival.To this day, those hydro trucks coming to help us is one of my most vivid memories of the time! #1058064
