Summer fun
Uploaded: December 10, 2008
These young locals are showing their "togetherness" while jumping off the bridge into the river. One was game enough to jump from the top of the bridge. For as long as I can remember, as soon as the warm weather starts, so does jumping off the bridge. Lens aperture F/3.7, shutter speed 1/388sec, focal length 63mm, taken at 4pm yesterday.

I'm pleased this brought back good memories. I bet their parents would have a fit if they knew where they were, especially the one who was jumping from the top. #6881676Z. Banu December 12, 2008

I never had the nerve to do this either, I wish I did, it looks such fun. Last week I saw a man jump off & he had grey hair like me. I'm glad you all liked it. Thanks again. #6959451Nancy L. Green December 30, 2008

I hope to get a good one of them jumping off the top one day. Thanks for your comment. #6963273Kaye Burazin May 10, 2009
What fun, but hopefully no one will get hurt. Always a Mother...that's me. Great capture. #7505209Chris Ebben May 21, 2009
Thanks Kaye, no-one has ever been hurt (so far) jumping off the bridge in it's 50 years. One poor boy did get killed when he got caught in the mechanical workings under the bridge that was used for repair work. #7543477Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
