Description

Taken several years ago on my first digital - a little Kodak compact. If you've been to Burano then you'll know that additional saturation wasn't required!

HA HA HA!!!! :-))
For me, you didn't need to put the title!!! I recognized right away the small lace's village of Burano!!!
Those are the real colors of this village, Beverley and your Kodak did a great job to captured that, right light and tones!!!
Fantastic scene from an isolated Venice area!!
Fantastic shot!!! #6877345

Thanks Joe and Max. And Max, it was early August and much too hot for pizza but the gelato was one of the best I've had!! I plan to return next year with a digital SLR and do it all over again! Bev #6877622

They do also a good gelato in there but pizza??? I prefer down to Rome... because they make the best pizza!!! :-)) (and gelato) #7259735

Beverley Scott March 08, 2009

Well, Max, I'll be in Rome on 8-9 May so what sort of pizza do you recommend? #7259748

Max Aureli March 08, 2009

Oh... you are going in my city!!! Unfortunately I don't think I can come!! :-(
If you have a way to go around Testaccio area is a great place to eat good... really good pizza. It's a little out from tourist area but is close to the center of Rome.
Pizza alla Margerita, or Mushroom, or al Prociutto or a lot more good pizza!!! Try for appetizer, Suppli, Olive Ascolane, Fiori di Zucca, Filetto di Baccala' Fritto. After the pizza try a Calzone al prosciutto al forno or fry!! Get the house withe wine and at the end ask for a shot of Limoncello!!!

Trust me... don't get stock in tourist are like Trastevere or the real center.

Testaccio is a few minutes from the center of Rome get a cab and ask to them of a great pizzeria!!!
