Macro:Graham found this little creature climbing up the wall, it only measured around an inch if that
and he took a shot in my light tent.
Look at the insect looking at us, he was frozen to the spot so I took him outside and placed him in the garden.
Don't tell me they don't have feelings! ~Pat

Fantabulous! Awesome work with that light tent. Great focus and right choice of camera settings really brought this little guy to the big time! :~) #6851914Jodi M. Walsh December 04, 2008
this is amazing Pat! we had one of these guys in our front yard over the summer. my little girl was freaked out by it but Caleb really liked watching him. we named him "Mr. Praying Mantis" :-) #6852409Kirk J. McClenahan December 04, 2008

Graham Robards December 05, 2008
Oh wow guys! I am blown away, this is our first attempt at a macro in my light tent.Thank you all so much! We really appreciate your reinforcement, it means a lot and it is genuine I know!
Poor Graham was on the floor craning his neck trying not to get camera shake! and for you UV dear little Bro to say such fine words,we are honored.
Thank you so my dear Aimee, the light tent certainly came in very handy to be able to take a shot in the comfort of air conditioning not needing to go outside.

Very, very cool Pat. Looks like he's looking you over also. A mutual admiration society. #6855080Graham Robards December 05, 2008
Thank you so much Dale, I did not realise these little creatures actually looked at us. When Graham took his photos I gently picked the little critter up and took him outside. rather makes me sad in a way, I hope we did not frighten him! ~Pat #6855167Joan E. Hoffman December 05, 2008
AWESOME PAT...!!!!! and Graham LOL! Light tent... hmmm bears looking into. There are the coolest bugs here, but I love the isolation you achieved with your tent. I must try this!!!!!!! #6855722Debbie E. Payne December 05, 2008
He is SO CUTE -- I'd kill for a shot as good as this one! Don't do too much macro anymore and really need to get back into it. You have inspired me! #6856051Bill Knaps December 07, 2008

GREAT capture of this Praying Mantis, Graham! They are very expressive insects and good for the garden (they eat other insects)! Congrats on the EP! #6929205Graham Robards December 22, 2008

I just love this! Makes me smile! A cool little creature captured perfectly. The picture has something graphical about it with the green-vs-black and his tiny sticky body perfectly distributed. #8285403Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
