Description

VENUS and MARTE
by Pilar Ovalle (Chile)
Created expressly for Royal Botanical Gardens, Pilar Ovalle’s Venus and Marte represent the left and right sides of the brain. These head sculptures reference the ancient South American tradition of weaving done by the Mapuche of Chile who used llama or guanaco wool in their weaving.
