Hope's Twilight

Uploaded: November 17, 2008

Description

This was an experiment at an extremely low-light shot, layered multiple exposures with tonal mapping (sort of HDR... tried a couple of HDR programs, but didn't look better, IMO!)

Everything except sky and water reflections was too dark to see at the time of shooting. Rather amazing the detail the camera was able to pick up!!! Took about 20 widely varying exposures and mixed 2 of them for this image.

Town of Hope, Adirondacks, NY... shot at twilight :)

(Oh, btw, Hope is/was a failed town in the ADKs, so I guess the title works from that perspective too...? :D )
