The extremely tiny old mining town of Liberty, WA - which probably won't even show on most maps. #1119092

I love this image. Old barns and other old buildings are my favorites. You found a great one here and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. Beautifully captured. #1119504

Great shot, John!!! I agree with Marsha - I love the old barns and sheds!!! I am supposed to go out to WA to teach for 2 weeks this summer and I am really looking forward to getting out there with my camera!!!! #1119946

Thanks for the comments! Tammy, WA is a great place to shoot, though it's a big state...! Let me know which area you're going to be teaching in and I can steer you in some photogenic directions. One of the Jan. 2005 finalist images is Mount Rainier in reflection by Doug Bascom, a friend of mine. Look at that picture and imagine hundreds of variations on it - we were in a workshop that morning, and everyone got equally good shots. One word of 'warning' - the summer days are very long out here, so to get the good morning or evening light, you're either up at 0 dark thirty or you get back very late! #1119969

I am going out to teach at McChord Air Force Base - I think it is in or near Seattle? #1120004

McChord is basically in Tacoma, which is about 25 miles south of Seattle, along I-5 - essentially in the Seattle metro area. If you want some specific suggestions, you can contact me through my website (www.tubbsphoto.com) and I'll give you some ideas. You'll be very close to Mount Rainier, Mount St. Helens, the Tacoma waterfront, the Seattle waterfront, the Olympic peninsula, and not too far from the Columbia Gorge - all great places to shoot...! #1121063
