Description

This statue was erected in 1897 to commemorate "a friend of the Miners". Also founder of the Newcastle Morning Herald in 1876, Chairman of the first district Miners' Union, 1861, MLA for Newcastle, 1880-1891, NSW Minister for Mines, 1886, NSW Minister for Public Works, 1889, Manager of the4 co-op Coal Mine at Plattsburg. Lens aperture F/4, shutter speed 1/630sec, focal length, taken in Fletcher Park, Newcastle, NSW, Australia.

I took this picture this morning on the way to the hospital to pick Tony up after his overnight stay. Yes, he has been crook again!! He is home again, with more tablets & more tests to be done.

I'm pleased to show you all the statue. As for Tony, I don't know what to do with him, he seemss to be pushing himself to try & get over his accident. Maybe this scare will slow him down. #Note, I said "maybe". #6661173
