Beautiful photo, Cory! I guess you had a really great time chasing that bull, because your story is full of action. Wish you good luck next time and many other fantastic photos like this one.

Excellent photo, Cory! I can see you took the time to think carefully about the composition of the shot, which can be very difficult in the excitement of it all! Sure hope you stay careful! I had a similar incident with a moose. While focusing on getting close to get a picture of a bull moose, I found myself between a cow and her calf that I didn't even know were in the area. I danced around a tree for a little while and we brushed shoulders a number of times. Once the calf moved out of range she quit. I keep a whole lot more aware of the surroundings now!! #45027

Description

I found this guy several days in a row and was able to photograph him in a variety of settings. After following him around for a while I think he was probably the most docile of the bulls I found. At one point I was charged by an older looking, more aggressive bull. I was able to get behind a pine tree with his antlers only missing me by about 4 feet. The bulls can be very, very unpredictable during the rut, however, I am hooked now. Cant wait for Sept to roll around again!
