Leanne, Stan, and Sanjay, I thank you for your comments ~ I'm grateful for them!
Sanjay, the effect is in MGI PhotoSuite 4's "Special Effects" section, in the "natural" category. The snow effect settings can be adjusted for light or dark areas of your image. The dark area selection is what brought out the "snow" on the water, and left the ducks' colors alone. Have fun with it! #1078412

Thank you, Mary!! I've the version 4.0 somewhere at home but the trouble is to find a suitable picture to apply those effects...lol. Anyway I'll keep finding something. I really love this program. I started with version 1.2 I think... #1078422
