Description: This photo was recently chosen (April, 2010) by the Canadian Tourism Comission as one of the nation's, "Top 13 Must-Experience Now Winter Places". in a Canadian wide photo contest. The winning photo shows Kippens resident Jack Lamond snowshoeing on Pine Tree Mountain in Port au Port NL, on a bitterly cold but beautiful day in January, 2005,and was identified as one of the 13 spots in Canada for best off the beaten path experiences that are compelling, inspirational and memorable.
The prize is a $8,000 all inclusive heli-hiking package trip for two at the five star Bobbie Burns Lodge in the Bugaboo Mountains in western British Cloumbia.
